Dr. Javier Rangel
Javier Rangel, MD graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. He received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) followed by a one year internal medicine internship at Kaiser San Francisco and dermatology residency at UCSF. Dr. Rangel has a special interest in cutaneous oncology and melanoma. He is actively involved in research on melanoma, specifically on the development of prognostic and diagnostic biomarkers for melanoma. His research has been presented at national meetings and published in scientific journals.
Dr. Rangel grew up in Los Angeles, CA and enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, snowboarding in the winters and jogging in the summers. Dr. Rangel is fluent in Spanish.
